THE AI THREAD — Passions
AI has become a thread running through my interests, my work, and my personal projects. I’m especially curious about where climate and AI intersect. HOW IT STARTED - My husband works as an AI workflow architect at a creative agency. Watching him build complex automation systems up close and ship quickly, with a can-do attitude that anything is possible if you just start, changed how I saw what was within reach. I didn’t need to be a traditional developer to build real things. - My love for building started at Traveloka, where I owned the full product cycle end-to-end. That growth mindset stuck: I stopped seeing problems as things to complain about and started seeing them as things to build for. WHAT I’VE BUILT - I conceptualized, designed, and shipped this site (Deck of Salsa), Spark, Peelsonality, Article 6 Observatory, Positive What If, and our wedding invitation, all using AI-assisted development - I treat each project like a product: what does the user need, what is the simplest version that works, and how do I make it feel intentional? AT THE OFFICE - Co-led the establishment of NewClimate’s internal AI working group: conducted a staff survey, co-developed org-wide AI-use guidelines, and now produce quarterly internal newsletters - Developed training materials and delivered AI training across the organization, and now serve as the go-to person for AI-related inquiries - Piloted an AI-assisted proposal-writing workflow from ToR analysis to expert review to halve preparation time - Co-authored CCRM 2025, assessing technology companies’ climate commitments, including the environmental implications of the AI boom THE CLASSROOM SIDE - Selected for the Mila – Climate Change AI Summer School 2024 in Montréal (fully funded, competitive admission) - Group project: analyzed crop dynamics in Kenya using satellite imagery and machine learning
